Peshawar, Oct 20 (NVI) Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) tonight claimed to have carried out 12 operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province since yesterday, killing more than 22 Pakistani soldiers and injuring over a dozen others.
Among these operations, 6 were in South Waziristan district, 3 in Bajaur, and one each in Dera Ismail Khan, Quetta, Bannu and South Waziristan, according to TTP spokesman Muhammad Khorasani.
A major attack was carried out on the “impure” Pakistan Army in Tanga in Sarvakej in South Waziristan when TTP cadres ambushed two military vehicles, he said.
At least 10 soldiers were killed and 7 were injured in this ambush on a military pickup vehicle and a truck, he said.
In Daraban area of Dera Ismail Khan, three military vehicles were completely destroyed and all the personnel on board were killed in an ambush, he said.
Reportedly, there were 15 personnel on board and 10 of them were killed in the spot and 5 injured.
In South Waziristan, a soldier was killed in an attack in Gul Kakh area of Zarmilana District yesterday, Khorasani said.
Another soldier was killed and a surveillance camera was destroyed in a sniper operation in Karach Khel area of Shaktoi in South Waziristan, he said.
Khorasani said there is a possibility of loss of life and property to the Pakistani military in a TTP attack in Sarki Khel in Azam Warsak yesterday.
A surveillance camera was also destroyed in a sniper attack in South Waziristan today.
In Bajaur district, casualties were inflicted on the Pakistani military in an attack on a post located in Tarkai in Raisat, he said.
Casualties are possible also in an attack on a police post located in Mandal area of South Waziristan district today.
Casualties were also inflicted on the Pakistani military in a Grenade launcher attack on a post located in Sheikha Baba in Wada Mahmond in South Waziristan, the spokesman said.
In Bannu district, an attack was carried out on Barakhel Police Station in Bakakhel last night and there is a strong possibility of loss of life and property, Khorasani said.
In Quetta in Zawai, TTP cadres targeted and killed Saddam, a key spy of the anti-Sharia army, who was involved in the martyrdom of several Mujahideen and was wanted by the Mujahideen.
