TTP claims killing 19 Pakistani soldiers in multiple attacks

Peshawar, Sept 13 (NVI) Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) tonight claimed killing of 19 Pakistani military personnel in multiple attacks at various places across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province since yesterday.

At least 7 soldiers were killed and 15 injured in Dogar in Kurram district where an ambush was carried out on a unit of SSG of Pakistan Army who were trying to recover the bodies of their colleagues killed in an earlier attack, TTP spokesman Muhammad Khorasani said in a statement.

He added that 5 Kalashnikov rifles, 2 thermal binoculars and 1 rocket launcher were also recovered from them.

In Khyber district, 7 personnel of Pakistani military were killed and several injured in a raid by the TTP in Akakhel in Bara, he said.

TTP lost three fighters in the gunfight, he added.

Three personnel of Pakistani paramilitary force Frontier Corps (FC) were killed in a counter-attack in Tui Khula in South Waziristan, the TTP spokesman said.

One personnel each of Pakistan Army and FC were killed in two targeted attacks on military posts in Garyoum in North Waziristan, he said.

TTP also carried out attacks on military posts in Hasokhel and Mir Ali in North Wazirstan, in which there is a strong possiblity of casualties and loss of military properties, according to Khorasani.

Casualties were also reported in an ambush on a police vehicle near Sangra Bazaar in Orakzai district, he said.

Khorasani added that a RAMB tank captured from Pakistani military in Dogar in Kurram district was set on fire and reduced to ashes.

A few days ago military personnel were tying the blessed bodies of martyrs on it, he said. (NVI)
