Peshawar, Sept 27: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) tonight claimed to have killed more than 9 Pakistani military personnel and injured several others in 9 operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan since yesterday.
The biggest among these attacks was in Dera Ismail Khan district, where TTP ambushed a military convoy in Daraban, killing 6 soldiers and injuring 4, its spokesman Muhammad Khorasani said.
Two military vehicles were completely destroyed in the attack, he said, adding there is also a strong possibility of further casualties whose details were not available.
In South Waziristan district, a soldier was killed and another was injured in an attack on an army foot patrol party in Shakai yesterday, he said.
Separately, an attack was carried out on a military post in Dand area of Shakai, in which there is a strong possibility of Army casualties, the spokesman said.
TTP also carried out a drone attack on a military post in a fort in Azam Warsak in South Waziristan district, which possibly caused casualties and property losses to the enemy, Khorasani said.
A rocket attack was carried out on a military post in Ghora area of Makin in South Waziristan district, in which there is a strong possibility of casualties and property losses to the enemy, he said.
In Peshawar, one officer was killed in a sniper attack on a military post.
In anothe sniper attack, a soldier was killed in Tirah Maidan in Khyber district, he said.
A Pika gun attack was carried out on a military post in Ali Khel in Bannu district, in which several soldiers were believed killed or injured. (NVI)
