Peshawar: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) today said it killed 7 officers of the “unholy” Pakistan Army in an attack in Dera Ismail Khan in South Waziristan last night.

The rest of the soldiers fled after the attack, TTP spokesman Muhammad Khurasani said.

The mujahideen of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan attacked the Army installation in Shaktoi area from two sides simultaneously and conquered both fronts, he said in a statement.

“In the attack, 7 officers of the unholy army were killed and the rest ran away,” Khurasani said.

Earlier, on July 30, TTP attacked Duvatoi Zawarkali Morcha in the same Shaktoi area, killing one army officer and injuring two officers and also destroying a spy camera, he said.

On July 28, TTP attacked an army vehicle in Sararogha in South Waziristan, in which two army personnel were killed and two were injured, he said.
