TTP kills 12 security personnel in Pakistan

Peshawar: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) killed at least 12 personnel of Pakistani police and army and injured several others in multiple operations at various places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province over the last two days, according to the Islamist outfit.

In a major attack, the TTP ambushed a tanker and a police mobile carrying water for the police and paramilitary Frontier Corps (FC) post in Matundai area of ​​Darzandah in Dera Ismail Khan district yesterday.

At least 8 policemen were killed and many injured in this attack, TTP spokesman Muhammad Khurasani said in a statement to News Vibes of India (NVI).

He said TTP used rockets, grenade launchers and snipers in the assault.

Earlier in the day, TTP killed an army officer in a sniper attack on an army post in Gudiyum in Bannu in North Waziristan, he said.

TTP also carried out an attack in Hasukhel Pul Morche village in Mir Ali in Bannu in North Waziristan and injured 2 army personnel.

TTP also attacked an army post with a laser gun and killed 3 army personnel in Sinwari area of ​​Jani Khel in North Waziristan on Sunday night, the spokesman said.
