TTP kills 6 Pakistani soldiers in multiple attacks

Peshawar: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has killed at least 6 Pakistani soldiers and injured 2 in multiple attacks across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, according to the Islamist outfit.

The TTP said it carried out an attack jointly with Lashkar-e-Islam (LeI) on a Pakistan army post in Tirah Maidan area of ​​Bara in Khyber Agency on Thursday (yesterday) evening.

In this attack, 3 army personnel were killed while 2 injured, TTP spokesman Muhammad Khurasani said in a statement.

Earlier, in the morning, TTP attacked an army post in Kam-Sham area of ​​Gudiyum in Bannu district of North Waziristan with a sniper, killing an officer of the “unholy army”, he said.

One more army officer was killed in a sniper attack on a military post in Mir Ali area of Bannu in North Waziristan in the morning, the spokesman said.

In the afternoon, a military front in Patoli area of ​​South Waziristan was attacked by TTP with rockets and grenade launchers, the spokesman said, adding “there is a strong possibility of loss of life”.

Earlier on Wednesday night, TTP attacked a post of Frontier Corps (FC) with a laser gun in Mishta area of ​​Ladha in South Waziristan, killing an army officer, Khurasani said.
