TTP says it hit Pakistani security agencies at 2 places, killing & injuring ‘many’ personnel

Peshawar: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) today said it attacked a 20-vehicle convoy of Pakistan army and a hideout of the Pakistani intelligence agencies in separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province and that many security personnel are believed to have been killed or injured.

An army convoy was ambushed in Parwa district of Dera Ismail Khan yesterday and according to the information so far, 2 army personnel were killed and many injured in the attack, TTP spokesman Muhammar Khurasani said in a statement.

The convoy comprised 20 vehicles of the army, he said.

After the attack, the Pakistan army, as usual, resorted to shelling of civilian localities for a long time and burnt down houses of the common people, the TTP spokesman said.

Later in the night, TTP raided a hideout used by Pakistani intelligence agencies for a secret meeting near Tehkal Police Station area of ​​Peshawar City and as a result, “many officers” of the intelligence establishment were killed and injured, he said.

“To cover up their failure, the security forces sealed off the entire area,” he said.
