TTP says it killed 109 Pakistani security personnel, injured 134 in April

Khyber Agency: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) killed 109 Pakistani security personnel and injured 134 in 96 attacks at multiple places during the last month, the outfit said tonight.

Among the places of operation, Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province saw 16 attacks, South Waziristan witnessed 13 attacks, and Tank district 5 attacks, TTP said in a statement detailing its activities during the last month.

In Balochistan Province, the outfit carried out 1 attack while 2 operations were carried out in Punjab Province, said the statement quoting spokesman Muhammad Khurasani.

The nature of operations included 22 Sniper/Laser attacks, 11 counterattacks, 12 grenades/bombings, 13 ambushes, 17 Targeted Attacks, 11 Guerrilla attacks, and 3 missile attacks, the statement said.

The targets hit included 121 of the Army, 63 of Police/CTD, 44 of Frontier Corps and 15 Secret services, he said.

The attacks by TTP destroyed 7 military vehicles, 2 police mobile vehicles, 10 surveillance cameras, the statement said.

The TTP seized 5 Kalashnikovs and 2 G3 guns, besides bullets and other military equipment, it said.
