Peshawar: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) today said it killed 2 informers of the Pakistan army and issued a fresh warning to the police in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and “regional informers” against taking “part in this war”.

In a statement, the Islamist outfit said the two army informers — Wasim and Habibullah alias Habibi — were arrested and killed after being found “guilty of harming Mujahideen and participating in raids with the Army”.

These informers provided information to the Pakistan army about the locations of the secret hideouts of the Mujahideen at different times, “on the basis of which our comrades were also martyred in a bombardment”, said the TTP spokesman Muhammad Khurasani said in the statement.

“It should be remembered that we have many times warned regional informers and even police officers not to take part in this war,” the spokesman said.

“We have arrested and released many informers earlier but if they are involved in the killing and activities against the Mujahideen, then our behaviour towards them will be like the real enemy,” Khurasani warned.
