TTP says it killed 5 Pakistani soldiers, injured 3

Bannu (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) : Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) tonight said it killed 5 Pakistani soldiers and injured 3 in two attacks at a single place in Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province during the day.

Two mine attacks were carried out near the main Gudiyum check post of Wilayat Bannu one after the other, TTP spokesman Muhammad Khurasani said.

One attack was carried out on a foot patrol of soldiers at 1 pm, in which 3 soldiers were killed and two were injured, he said.

Another attack was carried out at 3 pm at the same place, in which two soldiers were killed, while one was injured, he added.

Earlier, on the night of April 30, Mujahideen of TTP attacked a military check post in Madakhil area of Spainwam tehsil in Bannu district with light and heavy weapons, in which there is a strong possibility of loss of life and property, Khurasani said in a statement.

One more attack was carried out on the night of April 30 on a military check post on Tehsil Mir Ali Bypass Road of Wilayat Bannu with a laser gun and a rocket, and a spy camera was vandalized, the TTP spokesman said.
