TTP says it killed 6 Pakistani security personnel in attack in Peshawar

Peshawar: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) today said it killed 6 Pakistani security personnel in an attack in Peshawar district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa last night.

The Mujahideen ambushed a vehicle of Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Nizampur area of Nowshera district, TTP spokesman Muhammad Khurasani said in a statement.

He said 6 CTD personnel were killed in the attack and 4 Kalashnikov assault rifles and 3 Pistols were seized.

Hours before the attack in Peshawar, the TTP ambushed a convoy of Pakistani military in Kulachi in Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province.

An unspecified number of Pakistani soldiers were killed in the attack in which 3 military vehicles and a tank of the convoy were targeted, Khurasani said last night.
