Peshawar, April 2 (NVI) Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed to have killed and wounded 387 Pakistani military personnel and secret agents in 260 attacks at different places during the month of March.
It also claimed to have caused extensive losses to the Pakistani military in terms of assets, saying damage was caused to 18 vehicles, 7 military structures, 61 CCTV cameras, 5 Drone cameras and one 1 armoured vehicle among others.
In a detailed break-up of its activities during the month in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, the TTP said 39 ‘operations’ were carried out in South Waziristan district, 32 in Khyber Agency, 26 in North Waziristan, 24 in Dera Ismail Khan, 20 in Bajaour, 24 in Lakki Marwat, 16 each in Bannu and Tank, 11 in South Punjab, 9 in Kurram, 6 in Peshawar, 5 each in Mohmand and Kirk, 4 each in Mardan and Pishin, 3 each in Kohat and Quetta, 2 each in Lower Dir, Orakzai, Malakand, Chitral, Kalat and one each in Swat, Qila Saifullah and Makran.
The types of operations included 123 Sniper/Laser Attacks, 52 Guerrilla Attacks, 27 Grenade/Bomb Blasts, 21 confrontational Attacks, 20 Ambush Attacks, 9 Retaliatory Attacks and 8 Targeted Attacks.
The enemy casualties included 175 dead and 212 wounded, while 9 were arrested.
Among the casualties, 172 belonged to Army/SSG, 115 to Frontier Corps, 95 to Police/CTD and 5 Secret/Security Committees.
The equipment seized from the Pakistani military included 11 Kalashnikovs, 5 G3 guns,
4 vehicles, 2 motorcycles, 2 magazines, 1 Pika gun, 1 rocket launcher, 1 pistol and 1 security camera, the spokesman said. (NVI)
