TTP says Pakistani forces killed 8 in fake encounters

Peshawar: Claiming that Pakistani forces have killed 8 arrested ‘mujahideen’ in fake encounters, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) today issued a warning to the security agencies over this action.

“Today, CTD (Counter Terrorism Department) has reported the martyrdom of eight Mujahideen during two operations in Kharan and Panjgur districts of Balochistan,” TTP spokesman Muhammad Khurasani said.

“These Mujahideen were arrested some time ago and they were taken to the suburbs and martyred,” he said.

“We want to warn the security agencies on this occasion that we have not forgotten our captives and martyrs and such cowardly actions cannot demoralize us,” Khurasani said.

The TTP spokesman emphasised that “Sharia will continue to be implemented in the country (Pakistan).”

Meanwhile, he said the TTP carried out an attack last midnight with light and heavy weapons on Hameed Khan Machine Army Post in Peshawar, in which there is a strong possibility of casualties.

Separately, TTP killed an army officer in a laser gun attack in Tarikh Talaikot village of Shaktoi district of South Waziristan last night, he said.

Earlier last evening, TTP launched a counter-attack on the forces in Zangard Tangi area of ​​Shaktoi district of South Waziristan, in which there is a strong possibility of casualties, Khurasani said.
