Kathua, Sept 11 (NVI): Two people were killed and three others injured after a car met with an accident at Sarthal Mode in Bani tehsil of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district on Friday, officials said.
The deceased have been identified as Monika, 29, wife of Suveer Kotwal, and Balwant Kotwal, 61, both residents of Dandi Bhaderwah, they said.
According to officials, Monika died on the spot, while Balwant, who was injured in the accident, later succumbed to his injuries at a hospital.
The three injured persons were shifted to a hospital for treatment.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated further proceedings, officials said.—(NVI)
