Residents of Abbasspur in Kahuta Tehsil of PoK, the girls had “inadvertently crossed into the Indian side in Poonch Sector in the morning hours,” Army spokesperson based in Jammu had said yesterday.

He said that the Indian troops deployed along the LoC detected the crossing and exercised complete restraint to prevent any harm to teenagers.

An official said that the girls are from Gujjar community living across the border.

Pertinently, security forces have intensified patrolling on LoC after unearthing of a tunnel and infiltration bids this year.
