Two Punjab residents impersonating as police officers, held in Srinagar

Srinagar, Aug 08 (NVI): Two residents of Punjab who were posing as fake police officers were arrested in Srinagar city late Wednesday night.

Official sources told News Vibes of India (NVI) that two residents of Punjab were arrested in Srinagar city on Wednesday for impersonating police officers.

They added that the duo, was found roaming in Nehru Park, Srinagar.

He identified them as Karanvir Sharma alias Raninder Pratab Singh son of Atal Sharma resident of kaddan Tehsil Payal Ludhiana impersonating as DySP and Ravinder Singh son of Late Sardar Lakhvir Singh resident of Ferozpur Punjab who were in white Fortuner bearing registration No. PB77 8925 with Red lights (siren) on it.

They said that both were apprehended, vehicle seized and a case FIR no. 98/2024 us 319(2), 49, 205 BNS has been stands registered at PS Ram Munshi Bagh.

Meanwhile further investigation has been taken up.(News Vibes of India)
