UGC NET exam postponed due to Covid

New Delhi (NVI): The UGC National Eligibility Test (NET)- 2021 May examination has been postponed in view of the prevailing Covid situation in the country, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank announced today.

THE UGC NET exam for December 2020 cycle was scheduled to be held from May 2 to 17. Pertinent to mention here that India has been witnessing a second wave of the pandemic with a massive surge in daily cases.

“Keeping in mind the safety & well-being of candidates and exam functionaries during #covid19outbreak, I have advised @DG_NTA to postpone the UGC-NET Dec 2020 cycle (May 2021) exams,” the Education Minister tweeted while sharing a copy of National Testing Agency (NTA) order.

The NTA order says that the the revised dates for the exam will be announced later, at least 15 days before the examination.
