New Delhi: Union Minister Anurag Thakur inaugurated India Pavilion at Cannes Film Festival today.
He also unveiled the poster of 53rd International Film Festival of India, acoording to reports.
Earlier, Information and Broadcasting Minister met Jérôme Paillard, Executive Director of Marche du Film (MDF).
India has been named the Country of Honour at Marché du Film – festival de Cannes.
“India has a lot of stories to be told and the country truly possesses the immense potential to become the content hub of the world, ” Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said in a message.
India Pavilion would see a number of events glorifying Indian Cinema taking place during the Festival, involving few big names from Bollywood.
