India has made air bubble arrangements with at least 13 countries including the US, UK, France, Germany, Canada, the Maldives, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Nigeria, Iraq, Afghanistan and Japan.
Air India/Air India Express and Gulf Air are now permitted to operate services between India and Bahrain under the arrangement.
Bubble arrangements between countries are different from repatriation flights, which are only one way and the passengers have to register themselves with the embassy to board such flights.
