Jammu, Sep 08 (NVI): Lashing out at National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah for stating that Afzal Guru should not have been hanged, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today lamented on Omar’s statement stating that ‘what was the other way of treatment Guru should have been given in Delhi.”

“Omar Abdullah says Afzal Guru should not have been hanged. I wanted to ask him, what else should have we done to him. Were we supposed to garland him for his deeds,” Singh said addressing a rally at Ramban in Jammu.

Singh also asserted that time is not far when people of Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) would join India willingly. “Recently, the residents of PoK were branded as foreigners, but they are our own people. We believe they are part and parcel of India and deserve a dignified life ahead. Time is not far when they would join us willingly without any pressure,” the Defence Minister said.

Launching at scathing attack at the PDP president Mehbooba Mufti for once asserting that J&K would be on fire if Article 370 is touched. “But not a single bullet was fired and nobody protested. Nobody was killed. In fact, J&K witnessed everlasting peace post revocation of Article 370,” he said, adding that people of Jammu must vote for BJP so that J&K is made a model state in next ten years.

Stating that NC manifesto was advocating revival of terrorism and separatism, he said BJP will never allow J&K to go back what it was before 2019. “Under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, Rs 38000 crore were invested in J&K.

Today, youth are holding laptops and bats instead of stones and guns. Nobody can dare to carry a pistol in Srinagar and fire at people. This is the change we have brought in J&K,” he said. Singh said that BJP was committed to bring back Kashmri Pandits who were forced to flee J&K in 1990 under the shadow of gun and terror. He said J&K will first time have BJP government and Centre will lift J&K further and in next ten years, J&K will be model state of India.(News Vibes of India)
