New Delhi (NVI): Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and his government may have been crying hoarse over the restrictions on internet services in Jammu and Kashmir but back home, they have been depriving the high-speed 4G services to the people of Waziristan for nearly a year now.
Fed up with the government, tens of thousands of people today staged a protest in Pashtun-dominated Waziristan to demand restoration of the service which is a basic need in the present day.
The protesters chanted slogans against the Imran Khan government and vowed to continue their protests till the high-speed internet service is restored.
“In 21 century people of waziristan protesting against the unavailability of internet at Wana South waziristan district. Few days back PM @ImranKhanPTI announced to restore 3G &4G but didn’t keep his promise,” tweeted a protester Pashteen Idrees.

The twitterati posted photographs of the protest in which thousands of people are seen participating.
The Imran Khan government has been depriving the people of Waziristan even the basic requirements but has been claiming to be concerned about the situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Pakistan observers, there is a lot of unrest and anger in Waziristan and rest of Pashtun-dominated Khyber Pakhtunkhwa because of the discriminatory approach of the Pakistan government, which have been fuelling demands for Independence from Pakistan.
The Pakistani establishment, particularly the army and intelligence agencies, has been using brutal force to curb the aspirations of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for freedom.
