New Delhi (NVI) The global Covid cases have topped 146.8 million, while 3.10 million people have died of the deadly virus so far, according to latest data released by US-based Johns Hopkins University.
While the global death toll stood at 146,830,782 and death toll stood at 3,106,384, as per the latest update.
India comes at second spot with overall 1,69,60,172 cases as it reported a record surge in fresh infections for fifth straight day, highest single day surge in the world.
Brazil comes at second place in terms of deaths, with 390,797 fatalities.
The US, meanwhile, remains the worst affected country in the world, even as it is extending Covid-related support including equipment and vaccine raw material to India which battles a second wave of the pandemic.
