Anantnag, Nov 08(NVI): The Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) of Anantnag has raised serious concerns after the Headmaster of MS Achabal, allowed two female students and a Rehbar-e-Khel (ReK) to participate in the Kashmiri Youth Exchange Program in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, without obtaining official departmental approval.
“The ZEO’s concerns were flagged during a routine inspection on November 6, when it was discovered that the Headmaster had issued a deputation order on November 2, 2024, directly through the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, “bypassing all standard departmental protocols.”
The students, along with the ReK, were sent to Chennai from November 5 to November 19, 2024, without prior notice or endorsement from the Education Department.
In a formal communication to the Chief Education Officer (CEO) of Anantnag, the ZEO, as per NVI emphasized the gravity of the breach, which violated established norms and put the students at risk by allowing them to travel outside the Union Territory without the necessary departmental clearance.
The letter urges the CEO to take immediate action against the officials involved and to investigate the circumstances surrounding the unauthorized participation of the students.
Pertainly, the ZEO has also recommended that the matter be referred to the Department of Youth Services & Sports for further investigation and to ensure such breaches do not recur in the future.—(News Vibes of India)
