104-feet tall flag mast inaugurated in Gangtok

Sikkim (NVI): A 104-ft tall monumental flag mast, honouring India and its martyrs, was inaugurated by Governor of Sikkim, Ganga Prasad and Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang (Golay), on the occasion of Holi in Gangtok.

The one of its kind flag mast was unfurled by the Sikkim Governor and CM at the Holi Milan programme organised by the Gangtok Holi Utsav Samiti 2021 on Tuesday, where the duo were also felicitated.

According to the officials, the enormous mast was installed to commemorate the Motherland and the soldiers who died fighting for the country.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Tamang said he was happy to join the inauguration of the monumental Flag Mast and expressed gratitude for felicitating him and the Governor on the occasion.

“I am delighted to join the Hon’ble Governor Shri Ganga Prasad Ji, Cabinet colleagues, Advisors, Chairpersons and officials for the inauguration of the monumental Flag Mast at M.G Marg in the capital today,” he said.
