Quetta: Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has said it killed 4 personnel of the Pakistani Army and injured several others in a clash in Awaran in Balochistan.

The gunfight took place after the Pakistani Army tried to target the freedom fighters of BLF, the group said.

“The Pakistani army tried to surround Sarmachars at Zandoi Gwash near Teertij in Awaran where a long skirmish ensued between the sarmachars and occupying army,” BLF spokesman Major Gwahram Baloch said about the clash that took place on Saturday night.

“Four Pakistani army personnel were killed and several others were injured in the clash,” he said.

The freedom fighters managed to repel the enemy’s attack and escape safely, Baloch said.

The Pakistani army failed even though it was aided by combat helicopters.

“After the clash, the occupying army tried to surround and attack the Sarmachars but the enemy could not succeed in his intentions,” Baloch said.
