Leh,Aug 22 (NVI): At least six persons died and twenty two others were injured after a bus they were travelling in, met with an accident and plunged into a deep gorge at Durbuk area of Leh in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
A senior police officer told News Vibes of India—(NVI), The bus was taking staff members of a school to a wedding function, plunged into a gorge at Durbuk in Ladakh, resulting into the on spot death of six passengers and injuries to 22 others.
Helicopters are being used to move the 22 injured people to the SNM Hospital and Army Hospital in Leh.
The condition of two of those injured is critical.
The rescue operation, which began immediately after the accident, is nearly complete, with authorities working tirelessly to ensure all those involved receive the necessary assistance.
