Kabul (NVI): Seven people were killed and seven got injured today in a car bomb explosion near the airport and the interior ministry headquarters in the Afghan capital of Kabul.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
The Attack came a day after two Taliban commanders and a leader of the Haqqani militant group were released in exchange for two professors, an American and an Australian, in a development some analysts had hoped could defuse violence in Afghanistan.
The Taliban prisoners include Anas Haqqani, who was seized in 2014 and whose older brother is the deputy Taliban leader and head of the Haqqani network.
