LG Sinha pays tribute to martyred Army officer Lt Beereshwar Goswami

Srinagar, Jun 7 (NVI): Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday paid tributes to Army officer Lt Beereshwar Goswami, who laid down his life while performing operational duties in Rajouri district.

Sinha laid a wreath and paid homage to the officer, describing him as a braveheart who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.

“Laid a wreath and paid homage to our Army Braveheart Lieutenant Beereshwar Goswami. The nation will forever remain indebted to his supreme sacrifice in the line of duty. We stand firmly with the family of the martyr in this difficult hour,” the lieutenant governor said in a post on X.

Lt Goswami lost his life during an operational deployment in Rajouri district while serving the nation, officials said.

Expressing solidarity with the bereaved family, Sinha said the nation stands with them in this hour of grief and prayed for strength for them to bear the irreparable loss.

The officer’s sacrifice would continue to inspire generations and remain etched in the nation’s memory, he added.(NVI)
