Covid-19 cases in Nepal climb to 11,755; death toll at 27

New Delhi (NVI): With 593 new cases of the coronavirus infection confirmed today, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 11,755, according to local media reports.

The country’s Ministry of Health and Population said, 486 males and 107 females are among the newly infected people. In total, 10,506 males and 1,249 females have contracted the infection in Nepal.

In the past 24 hours, 48 people achieved recovery and were discharged form the hospitals, taking the tally of recovery cases to 2,698.

The respiratory disease has been spread across 76 districts of the country. Rasuwa in Bagmati Province is the only district where no case of the infection has been detected, the ministry stated.

So far, 2,06,271 sample tests have been performed in Nepal through the PCR, as per the reports.

Meanwhile, one more COVID-19 related deaths have been confirmed in Nepal by the health ministry today. With this, death-toll from coronavirus infection in the country has reached 27.
