J&K: 29 travelers among 434 fresh Covid cases, tally mounts to 29,326

Srinagar (NVI): Jammu and Kashmir today recorded 434 fresh coronavirus cases, including 29 travelers, taking the number of total positive cases to 29,326 in the Union Territory.

Of the total 29,326 cases, 22,780 are from Kashmir and 6,546 are from the Jammu division. Officials said among 434 new cases, 346 belong to Kashmir division while 88 are from Jammu division.

The total number of positive cases in Kashmir has reached 22,780 including 16,945 recoveries while the total number of positive cases in Jammu division has reached 6,546 including 4,941 recoveries and 41 deaths.

The officials said that the total number of active cases in J&K is 6,879 including 5,315 from Kashmir and 1,564 from Jammu division. With 590 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in the UT has reached 21,886 which is 74.63 percent of the total cases.

Pertinently, Srinagar district alone has 7,026 positive cases which is more than the total number of positive cases in Jammu division where the total number of cases are 6,546.

“Cases tested positive in J&K include 66 from Srinagar, 37 from Baramulla, 27 from Pulwama, 06 from Budgam, 42 from Anantnag, 16 from Kulgam, 03 from Shopian, 66 from Kupwara, 59 from Bandipora and 24 from Ganderbal in Kashmir division while as 88 from Jammu division include 28 from Jammu, 02 from Rajouri, 03 from Kathua, 13 from Udhampur, 05 from Ramban, 12 from Samba, 04 from Doda, 03 from Poonch, 14 from Reasi and 04 from Kishtwar”, officials disclosed.
