New Delhi (NVI): As Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated his 70th birthday today, greetings came pouring in from around the world.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Russian President Vladimir Putin among other prominent leaders tweeted their greetings on the occasion.
The Prime Minister was born in Gujarat’s Vadnagar on 17 September 1950.
“PM Modi has devoted each moment of his life towards making India strong, safe and self-reliant. I am lucky to serve the nation under his leadership. I along with all countrymen wish for PM’s healthy and long life,” Amit Shah tweeted in Hindi.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh wished the Prime Minister and appreciated his leadership and said it has benefited India tremendously.
“Greetings and warm wishes to PM Narendra Modi on his birthday. India has benefited tremendously from his astute leadership, firm conviction and decisive action. He has been working assiduously towards empowering the poor & marginalised. Praying for his good health and long life,” he tweeted.

Russian President Vladimir Putin extended greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 70th birthday. “I look forward to continue constructive dialogue with you and work closely together on topical issues of the bilateral and international agenda,” says President Putin.

Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is celebrating PM Modi’s birthday as Seva Saptah or service week that started on September 14. The party has announced that several social initiatives will be carried out by its leaders across the nation during this week-long period.
PM Modi spent his last birthday in his home state Gujarat and reviewed programmes and projects including the Statue of Unity and the Sardar Sarovar Dam on the river Narmada.
