IAF Chopper makes precautionary landing

New Delhi (NVI): An Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) of the Indian Air Force, which was on a routine training sortie, made a precautionary landing in West Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur after it developed a technical snag.

No damage to any property has been reported, the Indian Air Force said in a statement. The IAF chopper was airborne from Saraswa Air Force Station in western UP.

“An Advanced Light Helicopter of Indian Air Force was airborne from Air Force Station, Sarsawa on a routine training mission. Approximately 30 NM out of Sarsawa, the helicopter developed a technical snag and carried out precautionary landing South of the airfield,” read an official statement by IAF.

“The actions taken by the pilots were prompt and correct. No damage to any property has been reported, it said, adding that a recovery team was launched immediately from Air Force Station, Sarsawa.
