New Delhi (NVI): At least 30 Baloch people were the victims of enforced disappearances carried out by Pakistani forces, who also torched hundreds of houses in Balochistan during the month of September, according to an organisation fighting for freedom from Pakistan.
Baloch National Movement (BNM)’s Central Information Secretary Dil Murad Baloch said the Pakistani army conducted more than 50 operations and raids in Balochistan in September.
Hundreds of houses were set on fire in Gichk and Ragai areas while many settlements were wiped out between Awaran and Panjgoor, according to Murad Baloch, who compiled the cases in a report.
He added that six Baloch freedom fighters were killed in clashes with the Pakistan army in the month of September.
The state of Pakistan has set up four new military posts to further increase military proliferation.
Dil Murad Baloch said that the military barbarism continued unabated throughout Balochistan and it broke all previous records of barbarism by turning the entire Gichk area into a Nazi-style concentration camp.
In the operation, which began on August 11, 2020 in and around Gichk, the Pakistan army set fire to the homes and wheat stocks. People who had lived in the mountains for centuries were forced to relocate to military camps.
He said that in one such military camp in Gichk, two tortured women gave birth. The horrible thing is that no one, including other women, was allowed to go near these women, but the whole process took place in the custody of male military beasts.
He said the Pakistani army also set fire to a large range of forests in the Dasht area of Kech. Earlier, the Pakistani army had burnt forests in many areas of Jhaoo, Awaran, and Gichk and surroundings.
