New Delhi (NVI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the death of seven people in a road accident in Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi district in wee hours today.
“News of a road accident in Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi has caused immense grief. Govt is involved in relief and rescue operations. I express my deepest condolences to the families of the dead,” PMO tweeted in Hindi, quoting PM Modi.

Reportedly, at least seven people were killed and one suffered serious injuries after a vehicle fell down from a bridge in Suketi Khad water stream near Pullghrat area of Mandi district at around 3 am today.
The victims were from Bihar who were coming to Himachal’s Mandi district to work as labourers.
Meanwhile, the district police have registered a case under IPC sections 279 (rash driving), 338 (causing grievous hurt to any person) and 304 A (causing death by negligence).
