IAF conducts twin firings of BrahMos missiles

IAF fired two BrahMos Missiles on October 21 and 22.

New Delhi (NVI): The Indian Air Force (IAF) has fired two BrahMos missiles as a part of the routine operational training from Trak Island of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

According to IAF statement, “02 BrahMos Surface to Surface missiles were fired by IAF at Trak Island in the Andaman Nicobar group of islands on 21 & 22 Oct 19”.

“The twin firings have been carried out as a part of the routine operational training,” the statement added.

The missile engaged the designated mock targets close to 300 km away. A direct hit on the target was achieved in both the cases.

Firing of the missile has enhanced the IAF’s capability to engage the grounds targets with pin point accuracy from a mobile platform, the statement added.
