New Delhi (NVI): An earthquake of 3.3 magnitude on the Richter scale hit Uttarkashi in Uttarakhand today, according to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).
“Earthquake of Magnitude: 3.3, Occurred on 09-01-2021, 11:27:30 IST, Lat: 30.79 & Long: 78.58, Depth: 10 Km ,Location: 15km ENE of Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, India for more information,” NCS tweeted.

There were no reports of any loss of life or damage to property due to the earthquake.
This is second earthquake in the state this week, a earthquake of magnitude 3.3 was reported near Bageshwar district in Uttarakhand yesterday morning, as per the NCS data.
The hilly districts of Uttarakhand are vulnerable to low to medium intensity earthquakes.
