New Delhi (NVI): The Delhi High Court on November 1 rejected former Union Finance Minister P. Chidambaram’s plea for interim bail in INX Media money laundering case on medical grounds, saying the senior Congress leader doesn’t need hospitalisation.
The court made the decision after a AIIMS medical board told the court that “hospitalisation of Chidambaram was not necessary as all his vitals are normal”. Court has also directed Tihar Jail authorities to provide clean surroundings, mineral water, home-cooked food, protection from mosquitoes to Chidambaram.
