New Delhi (NVI): More than 117.5 million people around the world have been confirmed to have the coronavirus, while the death toll has crossed 2,609,000, according to the Johns Hopkins University tally. Over 66.5 million patients have recovered from the deadly disease globally.
The number of coronavirus infections in the US has surpassed 29 million, while the number of fatalities caused due to the deadly contagion has surpassed 5,27,000 in the country.
Brazil registered 1,972 new Covid deaths in a single day on Tuesday, a national record, with 70,764 new cases of coronavirus.
With this, Brazil’s coronavirus cases have crossed the 11.1 million-mark and stand at 11,122,429 while the number of deaths has surged past 2,68,000.
