New Delhi (NVI): As farmers protesting against three farm laws called for an all India strike – Bharat Bandh – today to mark four months of their agitation at Delhi’s borders, demonstrations have affected rail and road traffic.

Four trains were cancelled and more than 30 trains were stopped amid agitations near railway stations in Delhi, Chandigarh, Firozpur and Amritsar, according to media reports.

The 12-hour nationwide blockade, which began at 6 am has come to an end, and saw its impact majorly in the northern states of Punjab and Haryana and Delhi.

The farmers’ protest at the Delhi borders started on November 26 at three epicenters- Singhu border, Ghazipur and Tikri.

The farmers and the central leadership have so far held 11 rounds of meetings that have failed to end the impasse over the legislation cleared during the monsoon session of Parliament last year.
