India records 25,404 new COVID19 cases, 339 deaths

New Delhi: India recorded 25,404 fresh COVID-19 cases and 339 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.

With this increase, the total active cases now are 3,62,207 while the cumulative death toll has gone up to 4,43,213, the ministry said.

Nearly 37,127 patients have recovered in the last 24 hrs, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,24,84,159.

A total of 75,22,38,324 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far, with the inoculation of over 78,66,950 beneficiaries in the last 24 hours.

The number of fresh cases reported today is less than the figure reported yesterday, when the figure was 27,254.

The death figure reported yesterday was 219.

On Sunday, the country recorded 28,591 fresh COVID-19 cases and 338 deaths in 24 hours.

The country recorded 33,376 fresh COVID-19 cases and 308 deaths in 24 hours on Saturday last.

The previous day report said 34,973 COVID-19 cases and 260 deaths were registered in 24 hours.

On Thursday last, the country recorded 43,263 fresh COVID-19 cases and 338 deaths in 24 hours.

At least, 37,875 fresh COVID-19 cases and 369 deaths in 24 hours last Wednesday.
