New Delhi: Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) today said over a dozen personnel of Pakistani military and their agents were killed in a face-to-face battle with Baloch freedom fighters, six of whom lost their lives, in the mountainous region of Noshki and Kharan about a week back.

The battle commenced early in the morning of September 24 in Siyah Lop, near Baddo Dor when the enemy forces tried to encircle a patrolling party of Baloch freedom fighters, BLA spokesman Jeeyand Baloch said in a statement.

In the face-to-face battle that lasted for more than 4 hours, more than 12 personnel of the “enemy” were killed or injured, he said.

Five freedom fighters of BLA and a freedom fighter of United Baloch Army (UBA) embraced martyrdom while evacuating their comrades from the battle zone, he said.

“The fallen comrades include Commander Ganjal alias Comrade Mazar, Nazeer alias Sangar, Faisal alias Yasir, Kaleem alias Bolani and Rehan alias Mehrwaan, who are all members of Baloch Liberation Army,” he said.

“A member of United Baloch Army, Nodaan alias Hammal, bravely fought alongside BLA comrades and embraced martyrdom,” the BLA spokesman said.

“BLA pays tribute to the fallen comrades and salutes their ultimate sacrifices for motherland. The organisation vows that the sacrifices of the comrades will never be forgotten and their mission will continue until independence of Balochistan,” Baloch said.
