New Delhi: Covid numbers in India continue to show a declining trend, with 13,596 single-day cases being reported in the last 24 hours against 14,146 registered the previous day.
The country also registered 166 Covid deaths during the last 24 hours, raising to 4,52,290 the cumulative number of fatalities caused by the pandemic ever since it began last year.
Active COVID-19 cases in the country also declined to 1,89,694 from the previous day’s figure of 1,95,846, the Union Health Ministry said.
On Saturday, the government said a total of 15,981 new COVID cases and 166 deaths were registered across India in a span of 24 hours.
The previous day count was 16,862 new single-day COVID cases and 379 deaths.
On Thursday, the government reported 18,987 fresh COVID-19 cases and 246 deaths in the previous 24 hours.
On Wednesday, the country reported 15,823 COVID-19 cases and 226 deaths in 24 hours.
The country recorded 14,313 Covid infections and 181 deaths in 24 hours on Tuesday.
The country recorded 18,132 Covid cases and 193 fatalities in 24 hours, a day earlier.
