Anantnag, Oct 11 (NVI): Two Chinese grenades were recovered during a cordon-and-search operation in a forest area of Seer Hamdan in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Sunday, officials said.
Security forces jointly launched the operation in the forest area under the jurisdiction of Mattan, following which the grenades were recovered during searches, they said.
A bomb disposal squad from the District Police Lines (DPL), Anantnag, was subsequently called to the spot and destroyed both grenades on the spot, officials said.
No loss of life or injuries were reported during the destruction of the explosives, they added.—(NVI)
