Mumbai (NVI): Bringing some certainty in the politically charged atmosphere in Maharashtra ever since poll allies BJP and Shiv Sena fell out with each other, the Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar today said Sena-NCP-Congress will form the next government in the state.
Putting at rest the fast paced speculations, Pawar told a press conference that there will no mid-term polls and the new three-party government will complete a full five-year term in the state, which is currently under Presidents rule.
Reacting to the statements that the government being formed by the three parties won’t last and there would be a mid-term election in the state, Pawar said, “There is no possibility of mid-term elections. The government (we are making) will last for five years and we will ensure that.”
He denied reports that the NCP was holding talks with the BJP. “The NCP is only holding talks with the Sena, Congress and our allies, nobody beyond these.”
