Srinagar: Pakistan-supported terrorists tonight shot dead an elderly member of elected local body, Panchayat, in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
The 60-year-old Panch, identified as Mohammad Yaqoob Dar, was shot outside his residence in Herpora Kulpora village, police sources said.
He was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him ‘brought dead’, they added.
The area has been cordoned off and search launched to track down the killers.
