New Delhi: Single-day Covid cases in India registered an increase, with 2,124 fresh cases being registered in the last 24 hours, against 1,675 cases recorded a day before yesterday.
The country registered 17 fatalities in the last 24 hours, the Health Ministry said today.
Nearly 1,977 patients have been recovered in the last 24 hours, taking cumulative recoveries to 4,26,02,714.
With 17 more people dying in the last 24 hours, the total death toll due to the virus has gone up to 5,24,507.
The country’s active caseload currently stands at 14,971, the Ministry said.
Yesterday, the country registered 1,675 new Covid cases and 31 deaths in 24 hours.

A day prior to that, the country reported 2,022 new Coronavirus cases and 46 deaths registered in 24 hours.
On Saturday last, 2,323 fresh Coronavirus cases and 25 fatalities, registered in the preceding 24 hours, were reported.
A day earlier, the country reported the registration of 2,259 new Covid cases and 20 deaths during a span of 24 hours.
