Peshawar: In the second targeted attack on minorities in two days, a Sikh man was today shot dead by unidentified persons here in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province.
The victim, identified as Manmohan Singh, was fired at by motorcyle-borne men in Yakatoot area this evening, according to officials.
The 34-year-old succumbed to injuries soon after.
The killing of Manmohan Singh comes a day after another Sikh, identified as Tarlok Singh, was shot at and injured in a similar manner by motorcycle-borne attackers in Rashid Garhi area of Peshawar.
Tarlok, a Grocery shop owner, suffered bullet injuries in his leg.
Later, Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) took responsibility for the attack, saying Tarlok was shot using Pistols.
The latest incidents come after a series of targeted attacks on religious minorities, including Sikhs and Hindus, in Pakistan, besides their Holy places.
