Quetta: Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) tonight said it has executed an informer of the occupying Pakistan Army after his key role in a drone attack on the freedom fighters was established.
Maqbool Samalani was earlier with BLA but then started secretly working with the enemy forces, its spokesman Jeeyand Baloch said.
“During interrogation, Maqbool Samalani admitted that five months ago he came in contact with a youth resident of Quetta, who later met him in a hotel near Quetta Cantt,” the spokesman said.
“Maqbool admitted that later along with the mentioned persons he went to Quetta cantt and met other officers of the enemy army,” he added.
The informer admitted that he forcibly disappeared a young man from the Samalani tribe, a resident of Chaltan Anari, by the occupying forces, Jeeyand Baloch said.
“The enemy operative further admitted that during this time he was in touch with the Sarmachars (freedom fighters) and had delivered equipment to the Sarmachars in the Hana Orak area two months ago, in which the enemy army had implanted a chip.
“With the help of the chip, a drone attack was launched on the Sarmachars, which was foiled due to the security techniques of the Sarmachars,” the BLA spokesman said.
Maqbool Simalani was wanted by Baloch Sarmachars after the failed drone attack.
BLA operatives detained Maqbool Samalani in an operation on October 2 last month, he said.
“The informer admitted that even at the time of his arrest, the enemy army had installed a chip in his motorcycle,” Jeeyand Baloch said.
“Maqbool Samalani was sentenced to death by the Baloch National Court after being found guilty of treason, which was executed by BLA operatives,” he said.
During the investigation, the device revealed the information of all the people connected to its network, which will soon be taken to their logical conclusion, the BLA spokesman said.
“The Baloch Liberation Army claims responsibility for killing Maqbool Samalani,” he said, adding “Our operations against the occupying army and its partners will continue.”
