Kolkata (NVI): India crushed Bangladesh within three days of a Test match for the second time in succession as they bowled out Bangladesh for 195 in their second innings to win the match by an innings and 46 runs. With this India has won the series 2-0 at the Eden Gardens stadium here today.
Resuming their second innings at 152 for 6 on day 3, Bangladesh hoped against hope to put India into bat again after a fighting 74 from Mushfiqur Rahim. But he couldn’t last long on the third day, adding just 15 runs to his overnight score of 59. The lower-order batsmen couldn’t last long either with Bangladesh’s innings folding in just 41.1 overs in the final innings. Umesh Yadav was the pick of the Indian bowlers with 5 for 53 in 14.1 overs while Ishant Sharma bagged 4 wickets.
