New Delhi (NVI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu today paid tributes to the victims of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack on the 11th anniversary of the assault.
Addressing members of both Houses of Parliament on Constitution Day, PM Modi said that while November 26 is a happy occasion as India celebrates Constitution Day, it is also a reminder of the Mumbai terror attacks of November 26, 2008.
“I pay tributes to those killed in the Mumbai terror attacks,” Modi said.
While remembering the martyrs of the 26/11 terror attack Vice President paid tribute and said My tributes to all those who lost their lives in the dastardly Mumbai terror attack of 2008. We stand in solidarity with the bereaved families.
“I salute the bravery and devotion of our security personnel who laid down their lives to protect the motherland. The nation shall forever remain grateful to their sacrifices,” Venkaiah Naidu said.
The ghastly attacks lasted for four days killing 166 people and injuring over 300, including foreigners, were killed when 10 Pakistani terrorists of the LeT attacked five major sites in Mumbai.
